Thank you for viewing our website & blog! I am so happy to have you here. My name is Hannah, and I am the owner of Pensacola Candle Co, LLC. I started my candle business in 2020 right at the peak of the pandemic. I was working at home at the time and wanted to start a business out of a passion I had for making candles.
I've been pouring candles for almost 10 years now. I learned how to make candles while in college back in 2014. I was working part time for a candle company in my hometown. The minute I learned how to pour my first candle, I was hooked. I love how candles bring people together whether it be around the dinner table, your kitchen, even in times of need during a storm. Candles spread light, and we are called to "be the light of the world". There is something so powerful about watching a tiny candle flame illuminate the space around you.
I have always had a love of candles even before I learned how to make them. What I didn't realize is how bad candles can be for you if they are not made properly. A lot of candles still today are made with parabens and sulfates, toxic wicks and other chemicals. I didn't realize while even though they may smell great, you are breathing in toxins which is not good for your body.
When starting my candle company, I wanted to make sure that all of my candles were made with 100% soy or coconut soy wax, which is not toxic. I wanted to also make sure that my candles were made with non-toxic fragrances, essential oils, and a cotton wick. It's so important to me that the product we provide is safe for our customers. We not only provide a beautiful product, but a safe one.
After working in Pensacola for several years it became my home. After being immersed and surrounded by its culture, I wanted to start a candle company in Pensacola's honor. To make high quality hand poured coconut soy candles with the namesake of the city and fragrances named after well known and beloved local areas.
